How to add, edit and control Markets in Rekonnect

Updated over 6 months ago

In Rekonnect, Markets represent external partner organizations that manage and support multiple Customer accounts. Markets act as intermediaries, helping to distribute training content and product information to Customers across different regions or sectors. Managing Markets properly ensures scalable expansion while maintaining control over how materials are shared and accessed.

A Market (formerly called a Distributor) is an external organization responsible for managing and supporting multiple Customers. Markets help distribute Products, Trainings, and Documents to their assigned Customer groups.

Market Administrators

Market Administrators manage Customer setups under their Market. They can assign Products and Trainings to Customers but cannot manage other Markets or global Owner-level settings.

User-groups (under markets)

It is not possible to add a market administrators to a customer or user-group under that customer. This is because whilst they maintain control over the market, they should be removed one-step from the customers maintained under that market.

However there are user-groups on the market level for the scenario where multiple market-admins need their training progress tracked as a group.

Information stored in a Market profile

Markets oversee multiple Customers. While Customers represent the end organizations consuming training, Markets act as a management layer, helping coordinate and distribute content across their linked Customers.

A Market profile typically contains the organization’s name, description, assigned administrators, and the Customers it manages.

Distributing Products and Trainings to Markets

Owner Administrators assign Products and Trainings to Markets, and Markets then distribute these resources to their linked Customers, ensuring controlled and structured access.

📌 In Rekonnect’s structure, each Customer is managed under one Market (or directly by the Owner) to avoid overlap and confusion and cannot be linkedin to more than one market.

Market Administrators access rights.
Market Administrators have access right to edit and manage their assigned Customers, user groups, and users but cannot create or modify Products, Trainings, or Courses themselves.
