2.3.2 About Assesment Modules

Modules within a course with advanced customisation options for randomisation and more.

Updated over 4 months ago

Assessment Modules are the recommended format for evaluating learner competence. These modules provide a structured way to test users through scored quizzes with configurable settings like pass thresholds, randomized questions, and visual aids. Assessment Modules are flexible, scalable, and ideal for both regulatory training and skill verification scenarios.

Module names

Each assessment module has the following descriptive options

  • Course Name (input field)

  • Course Description:

Both will be displayed on the user-portal and allow users to understand what the specific assessment is about and contains.

Types of content uploaded to an assessment module:

Assessment modules can include visual reference created from uploading images, allowing the owner to test the users ability to examine an image and answer a question:

Uploadable formats currently include:

  • Png

  • Jpg

  • JPEG

๐Ÿ“Œ Currently limited to Png/Jpg, more formats will be available in the future.

Assessment Configuration:

A question item stands in the order it was created, currently no drag-and-drop reorder exists for question slides under an assessment.

Each slide has different options on it for adjustments:

  • Assessment Configuration

  • Passing score (%)

  • Show a random subset of the questions (%)

  • Randomize questions order (checkbox)

  • Randomize answers order

Import / Export Questions

Questions can be bulk uploaded using a CSV format with the following table format:

Sample Answer 1 (correct)

Sample Answer 2 (incorrect)

False

๐Ÿ“Œ To create a CSV use microsoft excel or apple numbers application, create a spreadsheet and then export as a CSV

Upload limits for courses:

Individual images uploaded directly to an assement are limited to 300 MB per file. This limit is in place to optimize the speed and delivery of courses, ensuring fast loading times and a smooth experience for end users.

Preview of Assessments:

An assessment-module can be previewed, to observe the user-experience before publishing. As an owner (but not other roles) when creating a course with an assessment, the preview button appears next to the module title.

Using the preview will not create any permanent training data, completion data or similar user data. The function is purely for testing and approval of content and flow within assessment modules.
